Just Cortices for 55 Teachers

May 18, 2009

Access Technician Norma Campos has a day job: she is Director of the "Instituto Senda" of Sinaloa. Mexico, - a primary/middle school for over 800 lively students. Norma understands the value of energetic balancing, and invited me last week to teach the BodyTalk Cortices technique to 55 of her teachers and staff. We gathered early in the morning, before classes, and I presented the advantages of balancing the "cold-to-hot" spots in the brain, of eliciting the parasympathetic healing and receptivity of the students, and the possibility that nurturing the brain and its healing/learning response energetically, in the simple BodyTalk System manner that allows students to benefit from the emerging energetic health paradigm.

Instituto Senda enjoys the support of a few parents trained in Access who encourage the teachers to provide balancing to the classmates of their children. The school's Director accepts some students with learning challenges and understands the value of integrative health care. In addition, this Institute cooperates with Foundation "Guia Estrella" in the same city, which provides training to brain-injured children and their families in collaboration with the Family Hope Center of Philadelphia, directed by BodyTalkers Matthew and Carol Newell. Yet, most of the school's students are healthy, normal kids. I'd like to thank FundaciĆ³n Guia for its vision and support of BodyTalk in introducing it to the community of the Sinaloa area, and for supporting my visits and training there. Their example paves the way to an integrative health model to benefit developing children.

The School's coaches and physician were among the most enthusiastic of the cortices trainees, and captured very quickly the potential offered by the BodyTalk approach to student performance. Teachers agreed to monitor the feats of the teams using "cortices, " and the recovery time of injured or ill students to verify the value of using this technique to support the well-being and academic progress of normal classroom students. These teachers have already witnessed the value of of BodyTalk and Access in a few of the Institute's students. They will be targeting students with learning difficulties in the next few weeks to offer them extra support and nurturing through the BodyTalk Cortices technique.

In just under one-hour of outreach and exchange, we established a dialogue of enrichment, with practical training, that promises benefits to students and teachers alike. In the coming months, my goal is to provide the school with several more "in-house" Access Technicians and a few qualified BodyTalk Practitioners to support the continued progress and well-being of its students and teachers.
