Ian spent his formative years studying math, science and language, with plans to become a physicist. He was diverted from that path when he was offered a chance to own his own restaurant. Since then he has tried his hand at a number of different careers, continuing to focus on science as an avocation. He draws on this background in science as well as his jobs as a chef, contractor and sales professional, to inform and support his work as a facilitator for health and life style shifts for his clients. His thirty years of spiritual investigation serve him well with his work with those who are interested in deepening their own spiritual/consciousness understanding.                                                                                               

In 1991 he was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and began a long struggle that at times left him almost completely debilitated. He tried to find help within the mainstream health system with limited results. He sought out support from the "alternative" healing community, calling on all his personal investigation into health from the late 1970's onward, consulting acupuncturists, chiropractors and many others with only partial relief. And then he was introduced to Dr. John Veltheim and BodyTalk, and it changed his life. It was immediately apparent to him that BodyTalk had tremendous healing potential for himself and others. Less than 15 minutes after his first session he signed up for his first BodyTalk training Modules. 

His journey with BodyTalk, both as a Practitioner and as a client has been extraordinary. He sees his own healing and personal growth as a testament to the system and as a measure of what is possible for everyone.   

He has taken BodyTalk Modules 1,2,1-2ap, 3,4,6,7,8a, 9, and monitored many times, PaRama Unit 1, PaRama Unit 2, as well as Mindscape, a powerful tool for harnessing the minds' potential, and most of the other supporting courses including Right Brain, Advanced Module Integration, Breakthrough and Marita Kufes' Body Chemistry class. He continues a lifelong study of  health and the human condition with his enrollment in Dr. Veltheims' PaRama College and independent investigations into health, philosophy and other related subjects. Ian is a PaRama BodyTalk Practitioner, with a full time clinical practice. More recently he has been incorporating the ideas of Sacred Geometry and the Power of Light, Colour, and Sound into his work. 

He currently consults with and combines his work with a group of gifted healers when appropriate, to help maximize his clients potential. He is especially pleased with the work he does in tandem with his partner, Joanie Cartal, who is also trained at the highest levels of BodyTalk, and a Yoga Instructor. Their work together as a team has been instrumental when clients need to move through large challenges in their life.  

Ian looks forward to guiding you toward the wellbeing that he has found for himself. He currently has clients all over the San Francisco Bay Area, and his training in and application of Mindscape principles has given him the ability to do Distance healing work, with hundreds of clients worldwide. His life experience and understanding of subtle energy techniques allow him to apply his work to families, groups, small businesses and corporations, animals and other dynamic systems.
