Biography

Dr. Donald Pilipovich is a Senior BodyTalk Instructor.  He has been Vice President of the IBA for the last six years and is currently the VP of Academic Development.  He has over 20 years experience in the field of healthcare.  He is a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist and his vast experience includes extensive training in Manual Therapy, Chinese Medicine and Oriental Bodywork.  He has seen more than 15,000 clients, and has taught over 5,000 BodyTalk students worldwide.

Teaching

Dr Pilipovich is committed to the growth, increased awareness and understanding of BodyTalk and mind/body energy medicine.  His main interest lies in helping people find their true potential and destiny, both for themselves and for others.

Donald Pilipovich graduated in information computer science, magna cum laude in a year and a half from the University of California Irvine.  After college he became a computer scientist working on many projects including the NASA Space Station.  His vast research into mind/body medicine, plus a down to earth approach, strong analytical background and ability to understand the concepts of energy medicine from a scientific viewpoint has enabled him to teach the BodyTalk System in a way that everyone can understand.  He takes often difficult scientific concepts and explains them in an approachable way.                 

 

Donald Pilipovich has nine years teaching experience in the field of energy medicine.  He was previously a faculty member at the Traditional Chinese Medical College of Hawaii and is also a certified Shiatsu-Anma Instructor.  In his capacity as Vice President of Academic Development, Donald has had ongoing input into the teaching standards and practices at the IBA.  He has worked on revising, editing and rewriting the Module 1&2, 3 and 4&7 manuals as well as training BodyTalk instructors.  He is one of four instructors able to teach and examine students for the new Advanced Certified BodyTalk Practitioner certification.

 

In 2007 Dr. Pilipovich developed the very popular course “Traditional Chinese Medicine for BodyTalkers”.  The TCM course was created to help practitioners expand and deepen their understanding of the whole mind/body complex in relation to BodyTalk theories and examine how the body works from a Chinese Medicine standpoint.  As Chinese Medicine is the basis of many of the theories that BodyTalk originates from, this course builds a deeper foundation of understanding. 

 

In Practice

Dr. Pilipovich first studied BodyTalk in 2000, practices PaRama BodyTalk and was one of the first three Advanced Certified BodyTalk Practitioners.  Consultations with Dr Pilipovich start off with an intake about the client so that all aspects of the person and their health are understood. The session primarily consists of BodyTalk but very occasionally will include acupuncture, manual techniques and diet/lifestyle recommendations from a Chinese Medicine perspective as the clients needs dictate. First sessions are an hour long and following sessions are half an hour.

 

Distance Sessions

Dr. Pilipovich has increasing numbers of clients who have been referred to him by other practitioners and many of these clients have BodyTalk telephone consultations.  “Distance sessions” are offered to international clients and to those who are unable to travel to the clinic.  These sessions make up a growing percentage of Dr Pilipovich’s practice as he becomes more known around the world.
