Happy News in Brazil

Our Members in Brazil have been hard at work over the past year creating a stronger-than-ever foundation for BodyTalk practitioners and classes. They have been working with the IBA and among themselves to create a Brazilian Association and get better national recognition for the work that is so dear to all our hearts. We will leave the rest to Brazilian BodyTalk Access Trainer and Certified BodyTalk Practitioner Salima J. Lara Resende.

Let me talk about bubbly bellies, hearts and brains in sync, and, moreover, what happens when you have them all together. Because, although it might not be the full description of what we are witnessing right now in the Brazilian BodyTalk matrix, I just have to share the bigger picture of what we are all feeling. For, you know, when something is created in the spirit of togetherness, it is beautiful to see and surely worthy of sharing.

Indeed, we have a freshly new Brazilian BodyTalk Association. It did feel, for many of us, as butterflies moving in the stomach as we supported the birth of our Association, ABBTS. It is the outcome of years of nurturing teachings from many diverse Instructors, combined with students eager to learn or go beyond limitations. It is also a result of the hard work of many organizers and translators--people who have devoted their time and energy to make possible each one of the BodyTalk classes we have had in Brazil. In its short life, the ABBTS has already set in motion a fertile partnership with IDECACE, a Brazilian public organization for the support of youth through Sports and Education. IDECACE takes care of forty-thousand people. The partnership, involving the commitment of almost all of the currently active Portuguese-speaking BodyTalk Access Trainers, has already taught 100 teachers in the BodyTalk Access Routine. Videos have been produced by these teachers to be watched by hundreds of children and teens, and their families, to show how to balance their cortices through the use of the BodyTalk Cortices Technique. It is very exciting to share!

We also have the Brazil Covid-19 Project. From their generous hearts, 21 CBPs have given over 140 sessions to people diagnosed with COVID-19. The outcome of these sessions is not only much-needed healing and relief but also data collection and case study information to provide evidence for future scientific studies on the results of BodyTalk on the human body-mind.

We are also very pleased to announce that we now have Escuta, a professionally designed online magazine, created specifically to spread the word on BodyTalk. In Portuguese, the word "escuta" means "listen." You can read Escuta (or just take a peek if you cannot read Portuguese) by clicking HERE. The first Edition, put together by Nirvana Marinho, our newest Brazilian BodyTalk Access Trainer and Editor of Escuta, was out last May. It featured an interview with Dr. John Veltheim by our most recently graduated Brazilian Certified BodyTalk Instructor, Verena Kacinskis. The Escuta Journal enlightens the public about the history, the philosophy and the Science of BodyTalk. It publishes articles from Brazilian or international BodyTalkers, including those who have been around for a long time and also those who might be much newer to the system. All our brains together think better than one brain alone. Bellies, hearts and brains, together, with enthusiasm, we have so much gratitude for this amazing BodyTalk System that has given us all so much!

With our best regards from Brazil!
