Biography
My journey towards BodyTalk was long and winding, yet also a very consistent road.
Even before starting college in 1994, I discovered the two great passions that would turn into my first professional steps: the Spanish language and theater.
I taught Spanish for over 10 years without knowing that one day I would get married and eventually live in Spain and work as a Hatha Yoga and Pilates teacher. Fluency in the Spanish language also allowed me to train in Quiro-massage and lymphatic drainage.
I graduated in Education at UFMG and did my Masters in Education regarding the topic of active aging. At that point, it was clear to me that mind and body were inseparable and that life was associated with movement.
Teaching Yoga in Spanish to Brazilians, theater and Spanish for seniors ... my knowledge naturally started integrating. But the thirst for learning was insatiable and I soon took new trainings: reiki, ayurvedic massage, sensorial massage, hands-on healing, auricular acupuncture, vertebral manipulations...
From mid 2011 to 2014 motherhood gained exclusive dedication. Pausing everything and taking my focus inward, to the nest and to creative energy, further orchestrated my journey. During my pregnancy, I became a BodyTalk client to therapist and friend Ralfe. In May 2014, I accepted his invitation to learn the system and embarked on a one-way trip.
It seems that BodyTalk was in a hurry to happen within me and in my life. I took four modules in less than six months! I embraced the coordination of classes at the invitation of Advanced Instructor Marcio Ribeiro. Next, I took over the translation of testimonials of the IBA website to feed the Bodytalk Brazil community facebook fan page. With much enthusiasm and dedication, I gained enough ground in the local media to publicize important Bodytalk projects in Brazil, generating spontaneous media in three capitals and bringing very positive repercussions for the Brazilian matrix.
On April 18, 2015, in Brasilia, I passed the International BodyTalk Association certification exam, officially becoming approved as a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner.
