Group Sessions: Disease Support & Prevention-ALL 3
This is an opportunity for anyone to partake in a group BodyTalk session with the Founder of the BodyTalk System, Dr. John Veltheim to address illness and disease from a variety of perspectives.
This series will focus on the strengthening of overall health and the prevention and support of all forms of disease and illness, including the support of current medical treatments and medications a person might be undergoing. Approximately 39% of men and women will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetimes (based on 2013–2015 data from the National Cancer Institute). And in the United States, 1 in 4 people (both men and women) die from heart disease (cdc.gov). Stroke is the second most common cause of death, followed closely by lower respiratory infections, COPD, cancer, and diabetes. There are also many less life-threatening illnesses that greatly impact quality of life, like arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, mental illness, and central nervous system disorders such as MS and Parkinson’s.
The first session in the series will focus on supporting the body in a variety of ways to enhance the general health and robustness of the body. The more health, balance and vital strength the body possesses, the more difficult it is for disease to set in. The second session will address the support of existing therapies, health routines or treatments a person may be currently undergoing to manage illness. Such support can help to minimize side effects when treatments are particularly harsh, as well as increase the efficacy of various support strategies or medications. The third session will address the emotional and stress impacts of dealing with illness or disease, life-threatening or not. Living with illness often comes with frustration, fear and hopelessness. All of this can be very taxing on the mind and emotions, so this session will help to bring greater balance to the psychological aspects of disease.
These sessions will be done at a distance through on online Livestream broadcast. The recording will be available if you cannot attend live and is just as effective as viewing in person. Whether listening live or at a later date, remote group sessions will increase your understanding of important BodyTalk concepts that you can bring into your sessions with clients, as well as providing an opportunity for shifts in your own health, consciousness and perception.
This course counts for 3 hours of continuing education for Certified BodyTalk Practitioners' requirements.
