Dropping down the stairs

We are regular dancers. Three weeks ago during the training on an evening I went out of the class for a moment. Outside I fell down the stairs in a pretty spectacular way and I touched first with my left hip on the edge of a step. First I thought my hip was broken. Instantly I realized the way I was thinking, tried to stand up with success an began to tip my cortices and made the switching. People came along to help and brought water (!). The water helped to accelerate the functions in the body, I could feel it. After a few minutes I went back in my class and finished the course. Next morning my left hip, all over the gluteus (max, med, min) and the thigh was black from the effusion of blood and swollen but absolutely no pain! Since then I am using Arnica and special massage oil and technique to counteract the swelling which disappears slowly. Last Saturday we had a ball and danced through the night without any pain.
