My bodywork practice was established in Ann Arbor in May 2002. My office is currently located on the east side of Ann Arbor at the Parkway Center, 2345 S. Huron Parkway. Distance sessions are determined by day and time, or conducted at my office. I am so excited about being a part of this work and the healing it can bring about for any one!
My journey toward being a BodyTalk practitioner began at Kalamazoo College, where I received a BA in the field of psychology. At the time, I was clear that I was intended to work with people, did not intend to be a psychologist, and most certainly wanted to have a positive impact on the people with whom I worked!
In the early 1990's I began receiving regular massage therapy sessions. Through receiving that work I realized what a positive impact bodywork had on my life. I felt better both physically and mentally. I "knew" that this field held in it the balance of science (which I enjoy) and interpersonal connection, which would create a career for me. I began doing bodywork, as a massage therapist in 1999. While I was drawn to energy work, my career moved forward beginning with advanced training in Sports Massage and Injury Recovery. I also became a nationally certified Reflexologist.
I continued studying and practicing various types of bodywork, including: Cranial Sacral Therapy, Maternity Reflexology, Cranial Sacral Reflexology, Medical Massage, Reiki, Japanese Hot Stone Massage and Geriatric Massage. While I enjoy working in each modality, I continued looking for more.
In May 2009 I attended the BodyTalk Access course and felt an instant connection; an affinity for this work. I signed up for the Fundamentals course (Mod 1&2) which I attended a month later. Within just over 6 months I became a certified practitioner.
Since then I have traveled around the US and Canada to continue developing myself in the practice of this amazing work!
Employing principles of physics and Chinese Medicine, BodyTalk just made sense to me. The experience within a session is gentle and easy. After balancing, the shifts and changes which one can experience can be so profound. I personally have experienced changes, and I have been witness to changes which my clients have experienced.
