Monique Fay's Biography

I was born in
France on the Italian border during World War II. It was only after the war
that I was allowed to go outside to play in nature. That was the biggest gift I
had ever been given – to be outdoors. My father was both a physician and a
photographer. At times he would let me hold his camera. I discovered at an
early age the fascination of "framing" a landscape. Each time it made me feel
as though I was entering a very private world, one of my own choice. My ambition growing up was to be a
medical doctor and follow in my father's footsteps, but being "right brain" and
ADD there was no way it was going to happen in the traditional way. Oddly
enough, all of this came to fruition later in life when I embarked on a degree
in Oriental Medicine mostly to study the 5 Elements.
Little did I know that what had started as a personal journey with taking photographs for my own healing, would one day become a tool for others to heal themselves with the same images. I am thrilled to be able to share my healing journey with you and hope that it will open up new horizons for you.
The premise of the course is to learn a very powerful system which I am simplifying to make it very user friendly. What makes the course different is that we will be using photographs of the 5 Elements in nature as doorways to the subconscious.
In Tibetan culture, the five elements – earth, water, fire, air, and space- are considered to be the substance of all things and processes. The study of their interactions permeates Tibetan thought. An understanding of the elements forms the basis of medicine, astrology, psychology and is the foundation for shamanism and spiritual practices.
