The Heart of the Matter

As a CBP it isn't rare that a family member will come to me for treatment at one point or another. On this occasion my brother came for a visit. He has a pacemaker placed in his heart due to a condition called WPW Syndrome. He was feeling overwhelmed and exhausted because he is involved in so many different work areas and initiatives (Environmental Manager, Community Organization Director, cultural music artist, consultant, etc.) and has a lot of balancing to do, emotionally and mentally as well. He is quite sensitive to BodyTalk and we often see profound results often immediately following a session.
Recently, during his regular BodyTalk session, after tapping out a few links he informed me that his pacemaker had kicked in. He has an on-demand pacemaker, meaning it only comes into use when his heart needs work at a significantly higher rate (after strenuous activity and only when hitting around 145/bpm). But here, he was calm and rested on the bed, so the most likely explanation for the increase in his heart rate was the amazing tapping that we were doing! We know that tapping on the head and heart allows energy patterns to be corrected and new information to be distributed throughout the body, so seeing an increase in his heart rate, especially with no strenuous activity, as is usually expected, was proof of the messages being pumped out through tapping - BodyTalk in action!
During his session, we picked up that his body was getting mixed signals all the time - it didn't know what to focus on or what his needs were. Hence, it was getting exhausted. We balanced his base chakra to ground him and make him more settled. He needed to focus on one thing at a time in order to be clear to his body about what he needed the most from it in that moment. That would be a more efficient use of his energy, rather than 'wasting' or 'over using' it. The theme of his session was regulation - regulating airflow, blood flow, regular habits, regular sleeping pattern etc. We chatted through trying to find ways to give him more routine and more regular habits, which he completely resonated with. At the end he felt completely relaxed, and also "heard and understood" and, of course, the pace maker agreed with us as well and also responded to the BodyTalk treatment!
It's not everyday that we can so 'scientifically' see the impact of BodyTalk on the body so it was a very fascinating experience I am so thrilled to share!
