"The heart is not a pump, but an organ in which etheric space is created, so that the blood is sucked into the heart rather than pumped."
-- Frank Chester, Artist, Sculptor, Geometrician
For a long time now, I have told students that the heart is not a pump. More recently, I've discussed the relationship between the blood and EZ water and how it is, in fact, the EZ water mechanism that causes blood, or sap in plants, to "pump" through living systems. My research has been partly based on Dr. Gerald Pollack's work (he was a keynote speaker at our 2015 Members Conference) and on the work of Dr. Tom Cowan. Now that I am working with clients a lot, I try to keep up on the latest information in these important areas of research, and I was reminded how critical it is for BodyTalk students and clients to understand that the heart is not a pump. To make sure all Members are aware of this information, I wanted to share an interview with Dr. Cowan (below). While the interview is several years old, the information is still very relevant. It's important that every BodyTalk practitioner understands the heart from this perspective. It will go a long way in improving the effectiveness of your BodyTalk sessions.
Love,
John

"Rudolf Steiner said that three things stand in the way of the proper development of humankind:
- People working for money.
- Believing in the myth that there are separate motor and sensory neurons.
- People thinking that the heart is a pump.
I spent twenty years on that last one. How could this possibly be standing in the way of the proper development of humans? I tried to debunk it, but kept finding that Steiner is correct. And so I began to see that not thinking that the heart is a pump really might fundamentally change everything."
