The Water In You

In you'd like to enhance the effectiveness of the BodyTalk Hydration Technique, learn more about water in our Hydration Extension seminar.

Water! Not only does it cover most of our planet, it's present beneath Earth's surface, and NASA has found that unfathomable quantities of water seem to be everywhere in the cosmos. Even planets in our own solar system that currently appear dry and barren show signs of having been covered with immense quantities of water in a distant past.

In some cultures, there are words for God that equate to "Creator of Life-giving Water" in addition to there being many deities that represent water. Water is indeed part of the symbolic heritage of all cultures.

As a reflection of Mother Earth and the greater macrocosm, our bodies are also made up of lots and lots of water. When it comes to body mass, 45-70% of our mass is water (infants have lots of water, elderly people less; and men have more than women). However, if we look at the composition of a typical 20-micrometre human cell, a staggering 98.73 percent of the molecules in the cell are water. Remarkable, isn't it?

A vital nutrient to the life of every cell, water acts first as a building material. It's the scaffolding for all known life. One phase of water, known as the Fourth Phase or EZ water, is particularly well-suited for this essential "building" role.

But water does MANY other things too:

  • It regulates body temperature through sweating and respiration.
  • It metabolizes and transports proteins and carbohydrates from the food we consume, nourishing our bodies through the bloodstream.
  • It aids in waste removal, primarily through urination.
  • It acts as a "shock absorber" within the spinal column.
  • It forms a protective fluid surrounding the brain and developing babies in the womb.

It produces saliva, lubricates joints, and safeguards delicate tissues.
And this is just a glimpse from a conventional medical perspective. More esoteric research has explored water's ability to retain memory and carry emotional frequencies. From a consciousness standpoint, we can turn to the role that water plays across cultures. Purification, liberation, renewal, abundance and fertility are all key themes for water. But it can also carry the consciousness of drought and dehydration, a flood, a downpour, inundation.

The BodyTalk System, founded by Dr. John Veltheim, holds water in extremely high regard. The Hydration Technique, which emphasizes the balanced and free movement of water across cell membranes, is taught to all new students during the BodyTalk Access or BodyTalk Fundamentals seminars. In the many BodyTalk sessions Dr. Veltheim performed over the years, hydration was a frequent component. And when John learned about the Fourth Phase of water, also known as EZ water, rare was a BodyTalk session where it didn't play an important role.

Given the vastness of the subject, a comprehensive exploration of water is challenging within a BodyTalk course that also covers various other techniques and topics.

In our upcoming Hydration Extension seminar, we will dedicate three hours to delve into water and its significance in the BodyTalk Hydration technique and BodyTalk in general. Please refer to the seminar registration page for the detailed Course Outline. We hope to have you join us on this enlightening journey.
