Last week, we highlighted the newly restructured Mod 5A and Mod 5B classes. After the development of BodyTalk Fundamentals and the core modules 3, 4/7, 6 and 9, BodyTalk Founder Dr. John Veltheim became passionate about developing courses that could supplement and enhance these foundations. Lymphatic work was an important part of John's background before coming to BodyTalk, hence the Veltheim Method of Lymphatic Drainage presented in the Mod 5 courses. And Chiropractic and manual therapy work were also an essential part of John's sensibilities and background.
 
Out of John's manual therapy background came his Energetics course, which he later renamed to Physical Energetics. The course also developed out of John's collaborations and conversations with one of the presenters at our 2015 Members Conference, Dr. Gerald Pollack (his presentation is available here). John had begun working with "structured" water also called EZ water and saw how the implications of EZ water fit in very well with the BodyTalk System's approach to water and cellular hydration.

Physical Energetics was a special course for John because doing manual work with the body--even if only energetically "manual"--was John's favorite way to work; he loved seeing and sensing how much a body could change and shift physically after a few minor adjustments or BodyTalk "links." The Physical Energetics course is a powerful course that teaches students how to restructure the body energetically and how to work with the body's most versatile form of water--EZ water.
 
After John developed the course, he quickly realized that we had two manual therapy experts in the BodyTalk System who would be ideal to teach this work, so he recruited them to become IBA Instructors to share and spread his course. We are grateful to have Conor McElduff (right) and Phelim O'Neill (below) who can carry on this specific course for John, just as we are grateful for all our Instructors who carry on both John's significant foundational courses and his beloved specialized courses.
 
The Physical Energetics course was not available for several years since Instructors Conor and Phelim like to teach this course in person. It became available again last year, and we are happy they have multiple seminars on the books for 2024.

One of John's gifts in his specialized courses is that he saw them as being valuable to people other than BodyTalkers and so always allowed them to be open to the public.

This is the case with Physical Energetics, the newly restructured Mod 5B Class, and John's other specialized courses available for self-study: Eastern Medicine, Soul's Journey, and
BodyPsychology - Shoulders, Hips and Spine.
