Group Session Protection 2 – Amygdala

This group session addresses one of our most critical systems for survival and safety—the amygdala system. The amygdala acts as our internal alarm system, helping to decode any intense emotions we experience to determine if the appropriate response is to fight, flee or freeze. It activates internal warning signals, like increased heartrate and the stomach lurch response, and mobilizes fear and anger. It is one of our most powerful systems for protection. In a world that it now very fast-paced where the next negative news story is always looming, our amygdala is often on high alert, ever prepared to keep us safe from harm. Unfortunately, for most of the population, the amygdala is in constant overdrive, reacting prematurely or triggering a strong response disproportionate to the stimulus. When there is chronic fear, the amygdala goes into coping mode where it constantly remains in distress and eventually leads to disease, illness, and severe stress-related disorders. This group session supports our over-active amygdalas in returning to a healthier and better regulated state where they can respond to external and internal stresses more practically and effectively. This session will also support those who find themselves in a chronic fear state.

This is an opportunity for anyone to partake in a group BodyTalk session with the Founder of the BodyTalk System, Dr. John Veltheim. These sessions will be done at a distance through online broadcast. The recording will be available if you cannot attend the live airing. Viewing recordings is just as effective as receiving sessions in person in real time. Whether listening live or at a later date, remote group sessions will increase your understanding of important BodyTalk concepts that you can bring into your sessions with clients, as well as providing an opportunity for shifts in your own health, consciousness and perception.

This course counts for 1 hours of continuing education for Certified BodyTalk Practitioners' requirements.
