Kate Baskerville CBP, Reiki
I began my Bodytalk journey in 2002 in Cape Town, South Africa, where I lived with my young family. We were navigating some serious health concerns and I just knew there had to be another way than constant antibiotics to fix my two young children, both of whom suffered numerous allergies, which resulted in dreadful eczema and worrying behavioural issues. I was lucky enough to be one of the first group of practitioners trained in South Africa where Bodytalk flourished very fast.
I loved how Bodytalk challenged my belief systems and was the personal growth tool I didn’t even know I was looking for, but which helped me to handle what was to become a challenging journey into the world of autism. By the time we left South Africa in 2011, my son had moved through a total of 10 schools and we had moved house almost as many times. My husband travelled extensively with his job, and as any mother of an autistic child will know, it can be an isolating and lonely road. Bodytalk was my saviour - I became a practitioner first, seeing how much it helped my children, and I soon became a client too! This amazing modality opened me up to a whole new way of experiencing the world and was, and still is, such a gift for our family. My children are living proof of the transformative power of Bodytalk, and I feel very blessed to have found this wonderful healthcare system!
Bodytalk is an invaluable tool for anyone who is ready to take responsibility for their own health. It takes us on a dynamic journey into new areas if we are open to dropping our resistance and going with the flow of life. It allows us to question the stories we have been telling ourselves, often since childhood, and helps us move beyond our self-imposed limitations.
